SILVERSTONE, England – United Autosports has kicked off its European Le Mans Series LM P3 class championship defense in the best possible way with victory at the opening round at Silverstone.
American drivers Sean Rayhall and John Falb took the victory aboard the No. 2 Nissan-powered Ligier JS P3.
Nissan powers every car in the LM P3 class and dominated the overall grid at Silverstone – 17 cars accounting for nearly 50 percent of the entire European Le Mans Series grid.
The duo dominated the four-hour race to lead home the No. 6 360 Racing and No. 17 Ultimate Ligiers.
"Words can't really explain," said Rayhall. "The Monza test was good and we did some off season testing that went well. The team performed amazingly all week and they gave us a great race car. I'm super impressed how John did as well; he handled the pressure like a pro. So it is just great to be here."
The victory was part of an impressive day for United Autosports, who also clinched the LM P2 class victory in their debut in the class.
