Nissan and Infiniti announce sales results for September, 2016 from regions and countries around the world

Nissan Group in the U.S. announced total U.S. sales for September 2016 of 127,797 units, an increase of 5 percent over the prior year and a September record. Nissan division sales set a September record with sales 116,384, up 4 percent. Infiniti reported sales of 11,413 vehicles in the U.S. during September, an increase of 11.7 percent versus prior year for its best September ever.

Nissan once again recognized as one of the world's top brands

For the fifth straight year, Nissan has been recognized as one of the world's most valuable brands according to the prestigious Best Global Brands Study by Interbrand, the world-leading brand consultancy. This year, Nissan was ranked as the 43rd most valuable brand in the world – an increase over last year's ranking of 49th. Nissan now has a brand value of over $11 billion. This year's ranking puts Nissan as the 4th fastest growing brand in the world.

Infiniti sets new global sales record for September

Infiniti achieved the best September sales month in its 27-year history. Total sales of more than 19,900 were up 12 percent versus September last year. For the first three quarters of the year, Infiniti sold more than 164,600 vehicles, an increase of 7 percent compared to the same time last year. This also marks an all-time record for the company.

Strong pace for Nissan in Blancpain sprint final in Barcelona

Nissan GT Academy Team RJN concluded the 2016 Blancpain GT Series at Barcelona with some impressive pace and a barnstorming race start by Alex Buncombe. After qualifying 20th at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya aboard the No.23 GT-R, Buncombe charged up to 12th in the early stages of the qualifying race before handing over to Japanese driver Mitsunori Takaboshi.
