Nissan and INFINITI announce sales results for March, 2018 from regions and countries around the world

In China, Nissan reported strong sales in its passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle businesses during March 2018 and the first quarter of the year. Sales by Nissan China and its passenger vehicle businesses – Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Venucia and Dongfeng Infiniti – in March rose 2.4% from a year earlier to 122,959 vehicles and 3.4% to 99,060 vehicles, respectively. The light commercial vehicle businesses – Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd. (DFAC) and Zhengzhou Nissan (ZNA) – sold 20,143 vehicles, representing a decline of 0.8% from a year earlier.

In the U.S., Nissan Group announced total U.S. sales for March 2018 of 162,535 units, a decrease of 4% compared to the previous year. Nissan Rogue posted the best monthly performance in the nameplate's history with 42,151 sales, up 7%. Armada SUV sales rose 39% to 4,288 units, a March record. INFINITI reported sales of 17,432 vehicles in the U.S. during March, down 5%. Deliveries of the all-new 2019 QX50, powered by the world's first variable compression engine, began in March, contributing to the luxury crossover's best March, with 1,913 total sold, up 11%.

In Canada, Nissan Group set a fiscal year sales record with 146,882 total sales, an increase of 6.6% over FY2016. The Nissan and INFINITI Divisions also set fiscal year sales records with 134,394 and 12,488 units sold respectively, increases of 7 and 3.1%.

In Mexico, Nissan announced total Mexico for March 2018 of 28,463 units, reaching a share of 24% and achieving 106 consecutive months of sales leadership in the country.

In Europe, Nissan sold 95,587 vehicles (Nissan and Datsun) in March, representing a market share of 4.3%.
