Nissan and INFINITI announce sales results for August, 2018 from regions and countries around the world

Nissan China’s sales for the month increased by 4% year-on-year to 127,077 vehicles, while sales within its passenger vehicle businesses – including Dongfeng Nissan and Dongfeng Venucia – grew by 4.6% to 105,911 vehicles.
 
In the U.S., Nissan Group announced total sales for August 2018 of 112,376 units, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year. Nissan highlights include: Combined sales of Nissan crossovers, trucks and SUVs set an August record, up 22%; Nissan Rogue sales set an August record with 33,400 units sold, up 12%. For the INFINITI brand, the all-new 2019 INFINITI QX50 luxury crossover, powered by the world’s first variable compression engine, had 2,449 deliveries in August, up 79%. The QX80 premium full-size SUV had an increase of 19% to 1,218 for the month. In total, INFINITI reported deliveries of 10,796 vehicles in the U.S. during August, down 2%.
 
In Canada, Nissan Group announced total sales of 13,346 units for August 2018, an increase of 1.4% and an August record. Both Nissan and INFINITI Divisions set August sales records with 12,145 and 1,201 units sold, respectively, representing increases of 1.5 and 0.7% year-over-year.
 
Nissan announced European sales for August of 49,974 (Nissan and Datsun), representing a market share of 4%.
 
Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) posted record monthly sales in August with an all-time high of 4,500 units sold, moving the brand to the industry's number three position.
