Nissan to appoint two new auditors

FY05 Financial Results And NISSAN Value-Up

TOKYO (April 25, 2006) -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced that it will propose the appointment of two new auditors at Nissan's annual shareholders' meeting on June 27, 2006. Subject to the approval by shareholders, the appointments are effective immediately.

The two candidates are Toshiyuki Nakamura, director of The Bank of Yokohama, and Takeo Otsubo, executive director of the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency.

Auditors Keishi Imamura and Shinji Ichishima will resign as of June 27. As a result, the total number of auditors will remain at four, including the two auditors who will not be affected by the above changes.
