HONG KONG – Infiniti Motor Corporation, Ltd., the fast-growing premium arm of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., announces today that effective September 1, Trevor Hale is appointed as the new Head of Infiniti, Global Communications.

Hale, formerly Director, Communications for Ford Motor Company in the Middle East and Africa will succeed Stefan Weinmann, who is to become General Manager, Communications for Infiniti in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) based in Rolle, Switzerland.

The communications reorganization coincides with an ambitious expansion plan at Infiniti, which is launching new models including the Q60 sports coupe and the QX30 crossover following a record 15 percent rise in global sales to 218,200 units in fiscal 2015.

Roland Krueger, President of Infiniti Motor Corporation and a senior vice president of Nissan, said: “I am delighted to welcome Trevor to our senior team at Infiniti. I would also like to thank Stefan for his contribution to Infiniti in recent years, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role.”

Hale, a 20-year industry veteran who has held senior communication roles at Ford, Daimler and Mercedes, will assume the role in September 2016. His appointment forms part of a wide-ranging restructuring of communications at Nissan, led by Jonathan Adashek, Chief Communications Officer.

“We are strengthening our global team to ensure that Nissan communicates with impact around the world,” said Adashek. “Infiniti is an important part of the overall success of Nissan, and I am confident Trevor will help build the brand’s reputation in the years ahead.”
