Nissan GT-R, an epic farewell

“The Great Farewell” campaign stuns older car fans with a celebration at a racetrack.
Nissan GT-R, an epic farewell

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Quitting a habit is no easy task. But refraining from doing something you love – like driving – is even more painful. The Brazilian Traffic Code does not lay down a maximum driving age. However, to get or renew a driver's license, people above the age of 65 must pass a physical test every three years. (The World Health Organization accepts 65 as a definition of an older person, based on possible age-related decline.)

With this emotional milestone in mind, Nissan Brasil presents "The Great Farewell." In this special campaign, seniors in Brazil take the wheel of a high performance Nissan GT-R at a racetrack – an experience packaged with surprises from start to finish.

Nissan GT-R is the brand’s iconic high-performance flagship model, powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 twin-turbocharged engine that delivers 572 hp (2017 Brazil market model). “The Great Farewell” proves that adrenaline and excitement is appropriate for any age.
