MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Nissan Kicks is the first global model inspired by Latin-American culture and has been introduced to the rest of the world from this continent as a result of the collaboration of our Design Center in Japan, United States and Brazil.
This new compact crossover is manufactured at the A1 plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico, making it, once again responsible for training other manufacture complexes like Resende in Brazil, which will further on start to produce this model as well.
Nissan Kicks is the fifth model produced in A1 along with Nissan Sentra, Nissan NOTE, Nissan March and Nissan Versa. For now, Nissan Kicks will be commercialized in Mexico and Latin America; later on, it will make its way to 80 countries around the world.
In Mexico, Nissan Kicks is available in three different versions – Sense, Advance and Exclusive – all of which seek to fulfill our customers" needs regarding modernism, innovation, design and intelligent mobility.
The new compact crossover's appeal relays on its youthful and fresh design which includes a distinctive V-motion grill, LED boomerang shaped lights and a wide range of connectivity and safety technologies that will contribute to positioning it as a leader on the crossover segment.
Nissan Kicks targets young people who easily adopt new technologies and that are constantly looking for ways and gadgets to make their life simpler. For example, Kicks' 7-inch touch color screen equipped with Navi System and Around View Monitor makes steering easier for the driver. Also a reverse camera and peripheral view monitor make any ride stress free.
Amongst the safety technologies included in this vehicle, its chassis control supported by advanced electronic systems such as Active Trace Control, Active Ride Control and Active Engine Break is truly outstanding.
All versions will be available in seven exterior colors: metallic orange, grey Oxford, silver, metallic black, metallic red, cobalt blue and pearl white. In Mexico, a combination of two colors will also be available for the Exclusive version. This will be a mix of Oxford grey with a metallic orange ceiling.
The Sense and Advance versions will include black fabric seats with the alternative of orange seams for the Advance version. The Exclusive version offers leather seats in black, orange and beige. Also, Nissan Kicks offers 2 transmission options: one manual transmission with five gears for the Sense version, meanwhile, Advance and Exclusive have an improved CVT XTronic D-Step transmission.
