The newly-developed DC quick charging unit retains the high performance of the current quick charger manufactured by Nissan, but is nearly half its size by volume. As the new charger unit is much smaller in size, it will occupy less space and enable easier installation. Furthermore, when it is introduced to the market, the new unit is expected to cost significantly less than the current model.

Nissan North America Co. and Sumitomo Corporation of America are jointly working on a sales and marketing plan for the product. Details of the plan will be announced in the near future.
