The New Sunny Gets Off a Satisfactory Start

- Orders surpassed monthly sales target 6,000units in 2 weeks -

Tokyo --- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced that orders for the new Sunny have surpassed 6,000 units in 2 weeks since its sales launch on October 20. Details of the orders for the new Sunny are as follows:

 

1. Total orders (as of November 3) 6,071 units
Monthly sales target 6,000 units
Release date October 20, 1998

2. Order details by Grade / Engine / Transmission (%)

*1: NEO Di (Direct gasoline engine)
*2: NEO VVL (Variable Valve Lift and Timing)
*3: LEV (Low Emission Vehicle)

3. Evaluation by customers

l Many customers give us lots of positive evaluation on its handsome and distinct exterior design, as well as superb handling & stability and ride comfort thanks to the newly developed platform. Furthermore, inheriting the Sunny’s traditional identity, easy-handling capabilities of the Sunny are also highly appreciated.

* With this good starting order, Kyushu Plant in which the Sunny is being assembled is planning to have 2 days holiday-working in November.
