Carlos Ghosn leads LinkedIn's list of Top Voices in France for 2016

PARIS – Renault-Nissan Alliance chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn has been named the most influential of LinkedIn's "Top Voices" in France for 2016.

Ghosn "easily climbed to the top of the podium for the most influential French influencers in the world, with more than 760,000 followers, 30 articles published, and daily reports on his profile," LinkedIn wrote in its article Monday announcing the top 10 most influential contributors on the career-focused social media website (available in French here).

This marks the first time LinkedIn has published a "Top Voices" list for France.

"The idea is to offer a panorama of the members who, by virtue of the quality of the published forums, succeed in provoking unprecedented conversations between the 12 million French members, of course, but also the 467 million members from all over the world," LinkedIn French news editor Sandrine Chauvin wrote.

Ghosn has been a "LinkedIn Influencer" since early 2014. The 500 contributors awarded that designation are among the most influential economic, political, business and entrepreneurial figures in the world.

In establishing the ranking, LinkedIn takes into account the number of the Influencer's comments, "likes" and shares per article, the growth in the number of "followers," the frequency of editorial activity and the number of times an article has been selected for one of the thematic channels shown in the LinkedIn news feed.

"The 10 Influencer winners of Top Voices 2016 have managed to distinguish themselves by the quality of their articles on subjects as varied as Brexit, entrepreneurship, gender equality in companies or digital transformation," said Chauvin.

"Disruption in the Auto Industry: It's Time to Embrace the Change" was one of his most popular contributions this year. Read of all of Carlos Ghosn's LinkedIn posts here.
