Nissan announces senior management appointment (2017/11/17)

YOKOHAMA, Japan (Nov. 17, 2017) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced today that Seiji Honda, currently COO (chief operating officer) and a representative board member at JATCO Ltd., will assume the duties of CVP (corporate vice president) at Nissan as of Dec. 1, 2017.

Honda’s responsibilities will include oversight of Nissan’s production operations in Japan. In this capacity, he will report directly to Executive Vice President Fumiaki Matsumoto.

Honda joined Nissan in April 1980 and has held manufacturing positions at Nissan’s plants in Sunderland, England, as well as Tochigi and Oppama in Japan. In April 2011, he transferred to Nissan’s subsidiary JATCO, where he assumed the post of executive vice president. In February 2014, he was appointed COO and a representative board member.
