Nissan production, sales and export results for November 2013

YOKOHAMA, Japan (December 25, 2013) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for November 2013.

1. Production
Nissan's global production in November increased 16.9% year-on-year to 461,563 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Production in Japan was down 14.9% year-on-year to 79,613 units, mainly due to decreased volume caused by the change in production location of Rogue for export to North America.

Production outside of Japan increased 26.8% year-on-year to 381,950 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In the U.S., production increased 31.1% year-on-year to 73,444 units, mainly due to higher demand for the new Rogue, Sentra and Nissan LEAF, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In Mexico, production decreased 5.3% year-on-year to 56,759 units.

In the U.K., production increased 2.9% year-on-year to 48,811 units, mainly due to higher demand for the new Note, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

In Spain, production decreased 15.1% year-on-year to 10,620 units.

In China, production was 137,046 units, a significant year-on-year increase of 150.5%. This was mainly due to increased demand for the Sylphy series, Qashqai and Tiida, and is an all-time record for the month of November.

Production in other regions decreased 3.3% year-on-year to 55,270 units.

2. Sales
Global sales increased 18.3% year-on-year to 450,702 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 53,590 units in Japan, up 15.3% year-on-year.

In Japan, vehicle registrations in November increased 3.7% year-on-year to 35,928 units, mainly due to the increased demand for Serena.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increased 49.2% year-on-year to 17,662 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November. This is mainly attributable to strong sales of Nissan DAYZ, which went on sale on June.

Sales outside of Japan increased 18.7% year-on-year to 397,112 units, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Sales in the U.S. increased 10.7% year-on-year to 106,528 units, mainly due to higher demand for Sentra and Altima, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Sales in Mexico increased 12.6% year-on-year to 24,057 units, marking an all-time sales record for a single month. This has made Nissan the sales leader in Mexico for 54 consecutive months.

In Europe, sales increased 8.0% year-on-year to 52,462 units, mainly due to increased sales in Russia.

In China, sales increased 95.7% year-on-year to 131,778 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Sylphy series and Qashqai, marking an all-time record for the month of November.

Sales in other regions decreased 9.4% year-on-year to 74,984 units.

3. Japan Exports
Nissan's exports in November increased 2.3% year-on-year to 51,962 units. Although exports to North America decreased 10.0% year-on-year to 31,748 units, this was offset by increased exports to other regions, including countries in the Middle East.
